Zinc Plated Ball Joint Assembly for Suspension Part| Cosmos Enterprises, Inc. manufactured this zinc plated ball joint assembly for use under an automotive chassis. Using pre-hardened 4140, 1018, UHMW, and rubber, we applied a range of processes: turning, rotary broaching, threading, drilling and tapping, and swaging. We upheld a tight tolerance of +/- .0005, and after manufacturing was complete we applied a zinc finish. Upon completion, the component measured 2 ¼" in material thickness, 3" long, and weighed 1 ½ pounds. Each of the 250 to 300 components was bagged with instructions, then boxed and delivered. All in all, the project took 6 to 8 weeks to complete. | |
