Ductile Iron Cast Heavy Duty Spindle Housing Hub

Cosmos Enterprises, Inc. worked with ductile cast iron to produce 100 heavy duty spindle housing hubs for use in commercial mowing. Employing a combination of turning, milling, drilling, and tapping to create the housing hubs, each one measured 11" in thickness, 7" in length, weighed 58 pounds, and featured a surface roughness of 64 RA. The tightest tolerance was +/- .002. Each heavy duty spindle housing hub was palletized before being delivered using just-in-time delivery, based on the customer supplied forecast and timeline.
