ELBOW LAKE Elbow Lake is a small community of around 1200 people, located in west central Minnesota. It is the county seat of Grant County. Elbow Lake has the perfect combination of large and small. Large enough that it has a nice grocery store, (2) pharmacies, hospital and clinic, (3) banks, a hardware store, (2) auto parts stores, 3 gas stations with service, 1 convenience store, 2 floral shops, and a great school system, yet small enough that is has almost zero crime, pollution, etc. Sounds kind of quaint doesn't it? To the west and the south we have some of the richest farm land in the world. To the east and the north we have easy access to Minnesota's famous 10,000 lakes, rolling hills, and trees. Oh yes, and walleyes! Yes it is a very nice place to live, work, and raise a family. This link will take you to the Elbow Lake home page. http://www.alexweb.net/elchamber/ If you are tired of the fast pace of the big city, try giving us a visit in beautiful Elbow Lake. Elbow Lake is located on what was approximately 12,000 years ago, the east shoreline of Lake Agassiz. It was the largest freshwater lake in North America. Here is a link to Lake Agassiz in case you ever want to check it out. http://www.pca.state.mn.us/water/basins/redriver/agassiz.html |
